Are you dog friendly?

Unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs in our tasting room, however, your furry companion is welcome to sit with you outside on our tar patio.


Are your beers gluten free?

Our beers are not gluten-free, however, we do offer a selection of gluten-free options. We offer wine, cider, and gluten-free non-alcoholic options in our tasting room.


Are your beers vegan?

Yes.  The only beer we do not categorize as vegan is Pisces as it is brewed with free-range sea water.


Do you serve flights?

Yes, flights of four 4oz pours are available. We also offer single 10oz samples.


Can I buy a keg?

Yes, we have a wide selection of beers available in kegs.  You can submit a request here.


What’s your most popular beer?

Our most popular beer is our Maine Island Trail Ale. This is our summer seasonal and a portion of the proceeds support the Maine Island Trail Association who provides stewardship to the coastal islands of Maine.


Can we bring food inside?

Yes. You are welcome to bring in food. We do our best to have food trucks scheduled regularly and we also have a selection of Maine Made Pub Snacks and soup available in the tasting room.


Do you serve food?

We have a selection of Maine Made Pub Snacks and Levitt & Son’s Soup available in the Tasting Room.


Can you mail me a sticker?

We would be happy to send you a sticker to add to your collection!  Send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the brewery and we will return it with a Rising Tide sticker.

Do you filter your beers?

No, all of our beers are unfiltered.


Do you have IPAs?

Yes, we have IPAs available. Zephyr is our traditional IPA and is available year round. Soundings is our experimental IPA series that is available in limited releases year round. We also have Cutter our Imperial IPA that is available September through March.


Do you have live music?

We host live music outside on our tar patio on Sundays, May-September from 1-4pm. Great way to spend a summer Sunday in Portland, Maine.

Do you host events?

Yes, we host a variety of public events throughout the year. See our events page for more details on upcoming public events.  We also offer rental of our Tasting Room and East Room for private events.  Learn more about hosting your next event at Rising Tide.


Do you offer tours?

Yes, we offer complimentary public tours.

Monday – Thursday 3 pm
Friday – Saturday, 1 pm, 3 pm, and 5 pm
Sunday 1 pm and 3 pm

Advance registration is not required.

We also offer private tours and tastings.  Inquire for more information.


Can we bring beer on the tour?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your beer on the tour.


Can kids come on the tour?

Children are welcome on tours, small children must be carried at all times, older children must have close adult supervision.


How long is a tour?

The public tours are approximately 20 minutes. Private Tours and Guided Tastings are a 1-hour experience. Inquire today about hosting a private tour and tasting.


How long have you been open?

We opened in 2010 on Industrial Way down the street from Allagash. In 2012 we relocated to our current location on Fox Street.

What do you do with your spent grains?

We donate our spent grains to North Star Sheep Farm as a supplment to the sheeps diet.

We distribute in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.


Where do your source your ingredients?

We source our ingredients from all over the world. We strive to source locally as often as possible. We have committed to included local grains as a portion of the grain bill in every batch we brew.
