Coulis

Belgian-Style Ale aged with Raspberries

Coulis [ko͞oˈlē] (n)—a thin fruit or vegetable puree, used as a sauce.

Coulis is a Belgian-style, barrel fermented ale featuring a portion of locally grown heritage Red Fife wheat. Fermented for over a year in barrels with a blend of yeast and bacteria, then aged on Maine raspberries from Doles Orchards, Coulis is lightly tart with hints of barnyard and a bold raspberry character supported with a pleasant graham cracker pie crust finish. Packaged by hand in 375ml cork-and-cage finish bottles. Hand printed letterpress labels by Ascensius Press.
